Killing me Softly

Dr. Softly is a man with a mission – to assist terminally ill and allow them to die peacefully, instead of in agony. He’s nearly out of money and completely out of ideas. That’s when Jackson, his long-time friend, and eternal college student, comes up with a “brilliant” idea: To open up a suicide prevention hotline to “troll” for “clients”. Dr. Softly reluctantly agrees to give it a try.

Dr. Softly and Jackson hire a mismatched crew of misfits to staff the phones and get to work. Dr. Softly also has a series of encounters with Christine, a moderately conservative Christian woman who happens to run a depression recovery clinic in the same building as he has set up shop. They fall for each other and he spends his time trying to convince her that he is running a legitimate hotline, for fear fo what she will do if she discovers the truth.

Throw in a “mafia” man named Mr. Zamboni who pesters Dr. Softly without end, to help him ease the suffering of his fictional terminal illness, along with Mortimer, a phone staffer who thinks he’s a real vampire, and Lena, another employee who thinks light black is an acceptable color alternative to black, and all yuppies should be hauled away to a deserted isle, and together you get the hilariously funny & twisted new comedy: “Killing Me Softly”
